Alan Adler

Alan Adler is the Midwest Bureau Chief for FreightWaves. An award-winning journalist, Alan worked for The Associated Press in a variety of roles from Michigan News Editor to National Automotive Writer. He later was an automotive writer at the Detroit Free Press before spending two decades in domestic and international media relations and executive communications with General Motors. Alan returned to full-time journalism in 2018 and joined FreightWaves in July 2019. He and his wife, Deb, live in Nunica, Michigan. They have three adult children.
